Ingredients for for 10 Gua Bao

Dough

  • 350g wheat flour
  • 5g baking powder
  • 5g yeast
  • 30g sugar
  • 15g lard
  • 18cl warm water
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil

Filling

  • 500g pork belly
  • 200g pickled mustard green
  • 50g shallots
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 30g sugar
  • 1 tbsp Shaoxing cooking wine
  • 10g 5 spice powder
  • 5g cornstarch
  • ½ tsp salt
  • A pinch ground pepper
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp light soy sauce
  • 1 tsp dark soy sauce
  • 15cl water
  • 10g cilantro
  • 50g crushed roasted peanuts
