Chinese Steamed Pork Buns 包子
The most appreciated of all the Chinese snacks
This well known buns offer an infinity of versions in many Asian countries. I propose you to learn how to make my Chinese inspired traditional version. We will simply make the dough with fresh flour, sugar, salt and baker's yeast. It's not complicated and it's really better than any already made preparation that you can buy. Bon appétit.
Ingredients for 16 Buns
Dough
- 500g of flour
- 20g fresh baker yeast
- 250ml of milk
- 50g of sugar
- ½ tsp of salt
- 2 tbsp of oil
Filling
- 500g oground pork
- 1 shiitake mushroom
- 1 onion
- 2 chives
- 150g of bamboo shoots
- 2 tbsp of sugar
- 2 tbsp of oyster sauce
- 2 tbsp of light soy sauce
- 1 tbsp of sesame oil
- ½ tsp of salt
- Black pepper
- 1 tbsp of tapioca starch
- 4 eggs
- 2 Chinese sausages
