Indian Chicken Curry

A nice variety of spices for an easy dish to make

The Indian Chicken Curry contains many spices and herbs, in Western countries we do not use these ingredients as much. By following the dosages that I share with you, you will get a dish with a delicious sauce, ideal for a meal to share with your guests.

All the spices are important to make the final taste. Among them, the coriander slightly dominates. The curry must remain soft, without any aggressive taste. You can improve your recipe by preparing and cooking this dish the day before, so the spices will have more time to release their fragrances and mix them together; also once reheated the sauce will be a little thicker. Bon appétit.

Ingredients for 4 people

  • 1 chicken
  • 300g tomatoes
  • 15g ginger
  • 1 onion
  • 100g shallots
  • 20g garlic
  • 20g coriander powder
  • 5 cardamom
  • 3 cloves
  • 1 star anise
  • ½ tsp anise powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1g saffron powder
  • ½ tsp ground pepper
  • 3 tsp salt
  • 3 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 30g butter
  • 30g cilantro
  • 1 pepper
  • 1 tsp tomato paste
  • 125g plain yoghurt
  • 20cl water
